Role overview

This apprenticeship trainee role sits within the Technical Training Apprenticeship Program and is designed to build the practical capability, technical knowledge, and professional habits needed to progress toward maintenance staff responsibilities. The position combines guided learning with hands-on exposure so the trainee can gradually develop the competence required for safe maintenance work in line with company standards and regulatory obligations.

While learning on the job, the apprentice will also assist with everyday maintenance work, helping close the gap between entry-level understanding and full aircraft maintenance proficiency. The role contributes to maintaining safety, quality, asset protection, and reliable operational performance.

Operational accountabilities

• Follow safety rules, operating instructions, and legal compliance requirements at all times while working under the direction of experienced maintenance personnel.
• Shadow and learn core maintenance tasks such as inspections, fault diagnosis, repair work, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Build strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, and a disciplined work approach.
• Comply with applicable company policies and procedures.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department that are relevant to the role.

Qualification requirements

• IELTS Academic overall score of at least 6.0, achieved within the last 24 months, with no band below 6.0.
• Completion of QCAR or an accepted NAA Part 66 training course for category B1.1, B2, B1.1 & B2, or A, through an approved training organization.
• Applicants must be older than 18 years and younger than 30 years at the time they apply.
