AODB & Airport Operations Systems Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced lead to manage the Airport Operational Database (AODB) integration within our estate, emphasizing connectivity and seamless operation among airport systems. This role requires at least 8 years of specialized experience in airport operational systems integration, working closely with multiple data flows and standards in the aviation domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of the AODB as the central system connecting various airport operations.
• Integrate systems following the A-CDM framework (EUROCONTROL-SPEC-198), including Resource Management Systems (RMS), gate systems, and resource allocation platforms via an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
• Develop flight data flow designs interfacing with Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), Baggage Handling Systems IT (BHS-IT), Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS), and other downstream platforms.
• Contribute to the integration of the shared Airport Operations Centre (AOC) environment.

What We Expect

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in airport operational systems integration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AODB and IATA standards such as AIDX, SSIM, Type B/BIX messaging formats, and Resolution 753 compliance.
• Proven experience with Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) processes and turnaround data modeling.
• Expertise in publish/subscribe integration architectures and designing systems with critical latency requirements.

Desirable Experience

• Background in transitioning from VIP operations to Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) processes and consolidating Airport Operations Centres (AOCs).
