Job description
Role Overview
My Pet Hub, operating across Redlynch and Balaclava locations, is seeking a devoted and dependable Animal Attendant for a full-time position. This role involves hands-on care for various animals, focusing on their everyday wellbeing, interaction, and the upkeep of their environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care, supervision, and attention to animals under care.
- Observe and assess animal behavior and general health throughout the day.
- Provide food and water tailored to each animal's needs.
- Engage animals through exercise, play, and enrichment activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal spaces.
- Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards to a high degree.
- Adhere strictly to animal care, safety, and operational protocols.
- Identify and report any notable changes in animal behavior or condition immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with a dynamic and encouraging team environment.
- Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming experience for both pets and their owners.

- Demonstrate a genuine passion and affection for animals.
- Dependable with punctuality and a dedicated work ethic.
- Physically capable and comfortable standing and working actively throughout shifts.
- Enjoy direct, hands-on involvement with animal care, including less glamorous aspects.
- Detail-focused and take pride in the quality of your work.
- Confident working both independently and in team settings.
- Possess strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Remain calm, patient, and self-assured around animals.
- Follow directions and workplace procedures accurately.

Preferred Experience
Previous experience with animal care is highly valued but not essential. The right attitude, eagerness to learn, and sincere love for animals are equally important.
