AC-HVAC Technician

About the Role

SDS Aircon and Refrigeration is looking for a competent and dependable AC Technician. The candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning units across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role demands practical experience with various AC types including split, window, and central cooling systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install a variety of air conditioning systems such as split ACs, window ACs, central cooling, and ductable units.
• Conduct regular maintenance and service checks on AC equipment.
• Identify and fix both mechanical and electrical issues in air conditioning systems.
• Handle refrigerant refills, filter cleaning, gas pressure inspections, and replacement of defective parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
• Liaise directly with customers and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and onsite protocols while carrying out duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess ITI or Diploma certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or a related discipline.
• Have 1 to 3 years of professional experience in installing and servicing air conditioning systems.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and HVAC controls.
• Capable of interpreting technical diagrams and user manuals effectively.
• Physically fit to work in outdoor settings or elevated areas.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and broader HVAC infrastructures.
• Possession of a valid two-wheeler driving license, preferably for field assignments.
• Experience managing basic tools and safety equipment is advantageous.
