Otaku Kulture is offering a remote internship for a fashion design and merchandising profile focused on anime, manga, and Japanese pop-culture inspired retail products. The role is centered on turning trend insights and creative concepts into production-ready apparel graphics and merchandise plans.

Key Work Areas

• Research streetwear movements, shifting silhouettes, and new anime launches to identify fresh drop ideas.
• Develop vector artwork, custom lettering, and placement graphics using Adobe Illustrator.
• Create lifelike digital mockups in Adobe Photoshop to evaluate color combinations and print scale.
• Prepare tech packs for production, including measurement tables and detailed specifications.
• Mark exact print, embroidery, and puff-print placement instructions for manufacturing teams.

Who Can Apply

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can work from home, are able to begin between 26 June 2026 and 31 July 2026, can commit to a 5-month internship, and have relevant skills and interest in the field. Freshers seeking jobs may also apply.

Required Profile

• Must stay continuously informed about seasonal anime releases, community trends, and broader pop-culture references.
• Should strongly connect with anime culture, vintage manga aesthetics, and contemporary streetwear.
• Must be studying for or already hold a degree in Fashion, Apparel, or Graphic Design.
• Need to share an active portfolio showing strong typography, vector work, or apparel/layout design.

Stipend and Conversion Opportunity

The internship offers a fixed stipend of ₹5,000 per month plus an additional incentive of ₹1,000 per month, bringing the total monthly stipend to ₹6,000. On successful conversion to a permanent role, the expected annual salary is ₹3,00,000 to ₹3,50,000.
