Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Bhopal is for a Weigh Bridge Operator. The role centers on measuring the weight of vehicles entering and leaving the site, entering the data correctly, and keeping all records updated in the system or registers. The operator will check supporting papers such as delivery challans and invoices, coordinate with drivers and site staff, and make sure material movement follows the company’s process. The job also includes checking the weigh bridge for normal operation, reporting faults, supporting basic upkeep checks, and maintaining orderly records for audits, inspections, and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh vehicles moving in and out of the site.
• Record weight readings in the system or manual registers without errors.
• Verify supporting documents such as challans and invoices before processing entries.
• Coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and site staff to ensure smooth material movement.
• Monitor the weigh bridge for proper operation and flag any technical problems.
• Assist with basic maintenance checks and operational readiness of the equipment.
• Keep logs and documentation organized and up to date.
• Follow safety, compliance, and site procedures consistently.
• Support audits and inspections related to material movement and records.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have practical exposure to material handling and movement in industrial or infrastructure environments. Familiarity with weigh bridge operations and related weighing equipment is important. The role also requires the ability to learn and follow standard operating procedures through training, check data carefully, maintain accurate records, and handle basic documentation verification. Good organization, numerical accuracy, basic computer use for data entry or software/spreadsheet work, clear communication, and the ability to work in shifts are all important.

Additional Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is expected. Vocational or technical training in logistics, operations, or a related field would be an added advantage.
