Warehouse Team Member - Fixed Shift

Role Summary

Jabil is hiring a Warehouse Team Member for a permanent, fixed-shift position based in Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland. The role follows a Back-End Days schedule, working Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every second Sunday from 8:00am to 8:00pm. A shift premium of 24% is included.

This position focuses on managing material movement and product flow in line with company procedures. You will work closely with the supply chain function and external warehousing partners to maintain accurate stock levels and keep operations running smoothly. The job also involves applying lean methods to improve efficiency and strengthen process reliability.

Inbound Receiving

• Accept materials arriving from suppliers and third parties.
• Complete same-day receipt processing for internal and external purchase orders.
• Make sure all delivery documents are properly completed and filed.
• Arrange incoming inspection of purchased materials with the relevant quality team.
• Coordinate with Programs and Supply Chain to receive new materials that may not yet be set up in SAP, including manual label resins and BICs, while protecting traceability.

Inventory and Stock Control

• Supply materials to the production line using FIFO principles.
• Support cycle counting and stock take activities.
• Coordinate disposition of scrap, rescreen, and rework materials.
• Handle material returns to suppliers or customers, including RMA and RTV processes.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all inventory transactions.
• Oversee warehouse capacity and work with Supply Chain and the external warehouse on deliveries and shipments.
• Manage recyclable packaging used by customers, such as trays and pallets.
• Monitor finished goods storage capacity daily, including pallet space availability in the Jabil warehouse.
• Compare stock levels with shipping forecasts with Supply Chain to identify batches that should be moved to the external warehouse.
• Coordinate loading and shipping of finished goods to the external warehouse, including collection dates and times.
• Work with Supply Chain and the external warehouse to resolve delivery problems, especially where documentation or communication is incomplete.
• Coordinate outbound shipments from the external warehouse to customers.

Quality, Safety, and Continuous Improvement

• Support achievement of operational and supply chain KPIs.
• Follow standard operating procedures and suggest improvements to increase speed and accuracy.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the line manager.
• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
• Support company safety and quality programmes and initiatives.
• Work in full compliance with GMP requirements, including proper recording of events and processes.
• Apply learning from GMP training sessions in daily work.
• Be prepared to take on other duties as the business and department needs change.

Job Requirements

• Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid licence to operate counterbalance and reach forklifts.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and remain effective under pressure.
• Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable using computers at a competent level.
• Capable of working with multiple hardware and software systems at the same time.
• Familiarity with GMP and GDP.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing working environment.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to the Warehouse Team Leader.
• Works with departmental managers and employees.
• Interfaces with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
