Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Production Equipment Europe is a major industrial distributor serving customers worldwide with more than 90,000 products. The business is looking to add a dispatch operative to its busy warehouse team in Galway, County Galway, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and follow the company’s standard operating procedures.
• Work from a combined picking manifest to process multiple orders efficiently.
• Meet dispatch timelines so orders leave on schedule.
• Review picking lists carefully, matching product codes, names, and quantities to the correct sales orders.
• Pack orders methodically and in accordance with company standards.
• Keep the work area tidy and follow a continuous clean-as-you-go approach.
• Assist team members and help maintain a positive, service-focused workplace.
• Look for practical improvements and follow all health and safety requirements.
• Maintain strong housekeeping standards across the warehouse area.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should be dependable, adaptable, and hardworking, with a positive mindset and a strong sense of responsibility. This role calls for someone who can use initiative, stay focused on accuracy, and work well with others. Experience with SAP or a similar warehouse system would be an advantage. You should also be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving environment and committed to delivering high-quality results. A minimum of 1 year of order picking and warehouse experience is required.
