Warehouse / Customer Service Assistant

Overview

This part-time position combines warehouse support with customer service tasks in Tauranga. The work centres on handling gas cylinders and related equipment safely while also assisting internal and external customers with their orders and enquiries.

Work Schedule

The roster runs from Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be available.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will help with day-to-day warehouse activities, including the manual movement of gas cylinders and associated items. The position also involves customer-facing duties such as answering questions, processing phone orders, and handling sales over the counter.

Key Duties

• Move, dispatch, and receive gas cylinders and related equipment safely
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer collection
• Maintain accurate stock records and keep the work area clean, organised, and safe
• Support customers with enquiries, telephone orders, and counter sales

Skills and Experience

• Excellent customer service skills with a courteous and professional approach
• Ability to carry out frequent manual handling and heavy lifting
• An OSH forklift licence is preferred, though not mandatory
• Comfort using computers for order entry and stock management at a basic to intermediate level
• Strong focus on safety and proper manual-handling practices
