Trading Analyst

Role Overview

This position is for a Trading Analyst within a highly regarded global hedge fund known for combining market insight with technology and data-driven methods to generate strong investment outcomes. The role sits on a compact, collaborative team focused on a Convertible Arbitrage strategy, and it is designed for a sharp, inquisitive professional who will support a Senior Analyst in day-to-day trading activities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work directly on a practical trading desk with close exposure to risk, trading activity, and the daily functioning of the portfolio.
• Partner with Research Analysts and the Portfolio Manager on profit and loss oversight, trade entry and reconciliation, execution, and the monitoring of trading platforms and automated trade workflows across equities, credit, rates, and derivatives.
• Track market-moving news, position developments, and potential catalysts that may affect trades and strategy decisions.
• Contribute to a role that provides broad market exposure, significant responsibility, and room to grow into more advanced trading work.

Experience and Technical Background

• Between 1 and 3 years of trading experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Python is required; however, advanced programming expertise is not necessary.
• A bachelor’s degree from a highly ranked university is preferred.
