Techno-Functional Odoo Consultant (Client Side)

Role Objective

This position represents the client organization as both project manager and techno-functional advisor. The person in this role will oversee the Odoo implementation partner to ensure the project is delivered to the required standards and within the agreed timeline. Once the system goes live, the role expands to owning the platform end to end, handling business requests, and maintaining as well as enhancing the application from both technical and functional perspectives.

Implementation Phase

• Track the Odoo partner’s performance and make sure the work stays aligned with the project schedule and agreed scope.
• Review the Business Requirement Document (BRD) carefully to confirm it reflects the company’s actual needs before sign-off.
• Validate code changes, custom workflows, and related configurations, and ensure issues are resolved before user acceptance testing and handover.
• Monitor project risks and provide regular progress updates to senior management.

Post Go-Live Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for system administration and provide daily technical and functional support to all departments.
• Analyze employee and department requests and develop new capabilities or custom modules when required.
• Handle upgrades, system improvements, and technical troubleshooting, including bug resolution.
• Train new employees so they can use the system effectively.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working with Odoo in a techno-functional capacity.
• Minimum 2 years of experience inside Saudi Arabia, with familiarity with the local labor market.
• Strong proven hands-on development experience in Odoo using Python and XML, along with PostgreSQL database customization.
• A track record of successful projects is important; a GitHub profile or project-focused resume is preferred.
• Deep understanding of business process flows and the capabilities of Odoo modules, with construction-sector experience considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law and the practical application of HR regulations, GOSI, and Mudad within the Odoo HR module is a major plus.
• Leadership presence, strong negotiation skills for partner management, and the ability to run projects using Agile or Scrum methods.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
