Store Manager

Role overview

This position is responsible for overseeing store and warehouse operations for project materials, with a strong focus on safe storage, inventory accuracy, material movement, and compliance. The role requires hands-on knowledge of preservation practices, SAP-driven processes, and audit-ready documentation, along with familiarity with project supplies used in power plant environments.

Material storage and preservation

• Manage the safe storage of critical project supplies so that material condition is protected and shelf life is maintained.
• Apply preservation practices for materials stored manually and in SAP, including items with defined shelf-life requirements.
• Follow original equipment manufacturer material-group rules while handling shelf-life items.
• Understand the functional use and operational requirements of power plant components and project materials.

Inventory and warehouse control

• Use perpetual inventory practices and selective stock checks to keep stock records accurate.
• Plan warehouse space and infrastructure to support project and operational requirements.
• Track spare parts and ensure logical as well as physical location mapping for stored materials.

Receiving, inspection, and rejection handling

• Handle gate entry processes for inbound materials, including receipt, inspection, and rejection procedures.
• Verify supporting documents and carry out physical checks for incoming supplies.
• Inspect received materials in detail and conduct periodic reviews to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Manage unloading activities while following proper safety practices and storage methods.

SAP and transaction management

• Carry out GPN postings in SAP and manage user-driven inspections and rejections within the system.
• Process material issue transactions, transfer postings, and consumption entries in SAP.

Commercial and logistics coordination

• Support supplier debit and credit note processing, bill processing, transit insurance, e-way bill handling, and RGP/NRGP procedures.
• Maintain records related to material movement, receipt, and accounting.

Fuel management

• Oversee fuel operations including tanker receipt, quality verification, quantity measurement, decantation, storage accounting, underground tank measurement, dispensing, and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate fuel records in line with applicable Gazette notifications.

Compliance and audits

• Ensure readiness for internal and external audits through accurate records and disciplined processes.
• Coordinate with legal and government authorities whenever required.
