Overview
Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara is seeking a Spa Therapist to join its wellness team in Doha, Qatar. The role sits within Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with more than 530 properties across 50+ countries in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America, operating under brands such as Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, and TIVOLI.
Role Summary
The position focuses on delivering a warm, memorable guest experience while providing high-quality massage and body treatment services in line with the resort’s standards and training guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, personalized way and help create a strong first impression.
- Maintain service standards according to the company’s operating manual and spa procedures.
- Carry out professional massage therapies and body treatments as trained.
- Keep all treatment-related equipment in proper working condition at all times.
- Answer guest questions about services and explain the benefits of suitable treatments.
- Support spa demonstrations and events whenever needed.
- Take part in refresher sessions and new training programs as required.
- Keep the therapist logbook updated accurately.
- Complete tasks and assignments within deadlines and follow the guidance of the spa manager or supervisor.
- Adapt positively to operational changes as directed by the company.
Requirements
- International Massage Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a therapist in a 5-star resort spa.
- Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Neat presentation and a high standard of personal hygiene.
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
- Positive mindset with a pleasant, guest-friendly personality.
