Responsibilities

Review software requirements and functional specifications to understand what needs to be tested.
Create clear, structured test cases aligned with business needs.
Carry out manual testing for both web and desktop applications.
Run functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests as part of quality checks.
Log defects accurately and track them through bug reporting tools.
Recheck fixes and perform retesting after issues are resolved.
Keep test execution records and related testing documents up to date.
Coordinate with developers to reproduce issues and support resolution efforts.
Take part in requirement discussions and sprint planning sessions.
Help ensure the product meets quality expectations before release.
Contribute ideas to improve testing workflows and documentation practices.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of software testing principles.
Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Awareness of the software testing life cycle (STLC).
Ability to write precise and effective test cases.
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
High attention to detail.
Basic SQL knowledge will be considered an advantage.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
Openness to learning new tools, technologies, and testing methods.
Familiarity with manual testing concepts is preferred.
Exposure to APIs or databases is an added advantage.
