Packmatic is building software for one of Europe’s largest and most regulated sectors. The packaging market is worth hundreds of billions of euros, and recent rules such as PPWR, EPR, and EUDR are creating strong pressure for companies to modernize. The product, Packa, is an end-to-end SaaS platform designed to simplify and improve packaging management. The company is well funded, growing quickly, and operating in a high-demand space.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ongoing technical improvement of the platform and bring ideas that make the product more reliable, faster, and easier to scale.
- Participate in architectural and technical decisions, including feature design, data structures, API design, and internal tooling.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Business teams to translate user needs into practical technical solutions, and challenge requirements when a better approach exists.
- Work independently and in an organized way from task planning through implementation, release, and production monitoring, while keeping code reviews, tests, and documentation in good shape.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers and the Tech Lead, and strengthen your skills through pair programming, architecture discussions, and constructive feedback.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in software development, ideally within a scaling SaaS environment where you have also supported features after release in production.
- Strong command of TypeScript and Node.js, preferably with NestJS on the backend, plus working knowledge of modern frontend tools such as React.
- Hands-on experience with modern APIs, different system architectures, and data modeling, along with the ability to compare trade-offs between solutions.
- Familiarity with deployment workflows, testing, and CI/CD, and an understanding that these are core parts of development.
- A self-aware approach to work: you use your strengths intentionally and ask for help when needed.
- A pragmatic, solution-focused mindset with attention to product goals and an ability to question the “why” before jumping into implementation.
- Fluent English is required; German is an advantage.
