Role Overview

The company is looking for a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial and contractual side of government and building construction projects. The role centers on accurate cost estimation, quantity surveying, billing, contract administration, and coordination with clients to support cost control and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and check BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and rate analyses.
• Handle client billing, subcontractor billing, variation claims, and closure of final accounts.
• Track budgets, project costs, monthly planning, and cash flow to maintain commercial efficiency.
• Examine tender documents, contracts, and project specifications in detail.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government bodies on commercial issues.
• Carry out material reconciliation and contribute to cost-saving measures.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and keep project records organized and up to date.
• Make sure contractual commitments and project requirements are properly met.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should bring 8 to 10 years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry, particularly on government building projects and larger works. Strong command over estimation, billing, cost control, contract management, and tendering is essential, along with solid client handling, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills. Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and commercial project documentation is also required.

Preferred Experience

• Prior exposure to CPWD, PWD, MES, Railways, Smart City, or similar government project environments.
• Experience managing assignments from the tendering stage through final account settlement.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Civil Engineering.

Additional Information

This position is based in Virajpet, India.

The salary offered is INR 60,000 to 70,000 per month.
