Security Officer

Role overview

Air India Express is hiring a Security Officer for its airport security function at Goa Mopa Airport in North Goa, Goa. This role focuses on keeping passengers, aircraft, airport assets, and restricted areas secure while ensuring all activities align with BCAS regulations and local operating procedures. The position calls for a highly alert professional with strong attention to detail and prior exposure to airport security operations.

Core responsibilities

• Follow BCAS rules, security programs, and site-specific operating procedures without deviation.
• Carry out screening checks, manage access points, monitor surroundings, and conduct patrols.
• Verify IDs, check boarding passes, and perform physical checks of people and items in line with regulatory requirements.
• Protect aircraft, baggage, catering items, cargo, and other airport property.
• Oversee entry to restricted and sensitive zones and ensure access is tightly controlled.
• Conduct routine foot patrols across operational and assigned airport areas.
• Act promptly during security incidents and emergencies according to established response protocols.
• Record incidents accurately and prepare both written and spoken security updates or reports.
• Work with airport partners and security agencies to support efficient and safe operations.
• Take part in special duties such as escorts and event-related security tasks when assigned.
• Complete all compulsory BCAS and security compliance training requirements.
• Use security equipment correctly and safely in line with training and certification standards.
• Interact with passengers in a polite, professional manner while upholding security requirements.

Educational requirement

Regular graduation in any discipline.
