About the Role

This position sits within DBS Consumer Banking and is focused on driving business growth across the branch network in India. The role supports a broad range of banking solutions, including deposits, structured NRI offerings, investments, insurance, mortgages, credit cards, and personal loans, with the aim of helping customers achieve their financial goals at different stages of life.

Purpose of the Job

The role is centered on delivering strong volume and revenue outcomes by acquiring and serving DBS customers with Assets Under Management of at least INR 1 million. A need-based sales approach is essential, along with active client coverage and effective cross-selling and upselling of DBS products and services.

Another key part of the role is maintaining excellent service quality and customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, relationship building, and close coordination with internal service, distribution, and product teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build, upgrade, and manage high-quality clients in the branch catchment area for the Treasures segment.
  • Work with existing customers to increase wallet share and support retention and AUM growth.
  • Take ownership of monthly and annual volume and revenue targets.
  • Promote usage of digital and service channels such as internet banking, mobile banking, online mutual funds, and debit cards, while also supporting savings book growth.
  • Execute product strategies effectively through strong relationship management.
  • Strengthen customer trust and loyalty by offering lifestyle-led and broader banking solutions beyond traditional products.
  • Maintain the right product mix and bring in new-to-product customers to improve profitability and coverage.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service in the local market and ensure DBS service expectations are consistently met.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage the assigned client portfolio by acquiring and developing customers with AUM of INR 1 million or more.
  • Build strong product knowledge by continuously improving understanding of DBS offerings and services.
  • Handle customer questions and complaints within the agreed turnaround time in line with DBS service standards.
  • Coordinate with branch colleagues, service teams, and product specialists to meet team goals through effective collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Line Manager and City/Cluster Head to achieve branch and team objectives.
  • Stay compliant with internal rules and regulatory requirements, including AML/KYC, safety, security, and ongoing risk review practices.
  • Apply proper due diligence during onboarding and throughout client engagement.
  • Position DBS as the customer’s primary banker and as a leading financial services provider in India.

Experience and Qualifications

The employer is looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in a respected bank and strong familiarity with banking products. Practical knowledge of the local market and competitive landscape is important. Candidates with AMFI, IRDAI, or FEDAI certification, along with BCSBI certification, will have an advantage.
