Role overview

As a team member at Wild Fork, you will help create a standout shopping experience for every guest. The role is centered on sharing product knowledge, guiding customers with meal and protein suggestions, managing freshness and stock levels, preparing online orders, and handling checkout in a warm and efficient manner.

Employment details

This is a full-time position. The starting pay is $18.50 per hour.

What the role involves

• Represent the brand with energy and enthusiasm while helping shoppers understand the company’s products and values.
• Build strong product knowledge through training so you can share cooking ideas, recipes, and preparation tips.
• Create a personalized, butcher-style shopping experience for customers.
• Support customers at checkout and help ensure a positive final impression.
• Carry out stocking tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb, rotating inventory, placing orders, dusting, and keeping the store clean.
• Handle daily price updates and operate the cash register when needed.
• Pick, pack, and manage customer e-commerce orders, including timely handoff for deliveries.
• Work in very cold conditions, including freezer areas, while moving racks, receiving shipments, and completing monthly inventory.
• Take on other related duties as assigned.

Physical requirements and work setting

• Ability to handle up to 50 pounds of force physically.
• Regular exposure to very low temperatures in walk-in freezers.
• Standing and walking for as long as 8 to 10 hours.
• Frequent movement across the store to reach different sections, products, and work areas.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant settings is required.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with a broad range of people by listening carefully to their needs.
• Comfort working as part of a team with integrity and a shared purpose.
• Ability to stay focused, manage time well, prioritize tasks, and work with urgency.
• Ownership mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Respectful attitude and openness to others’ opinions.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Interest and enthusiasm for food and customer service are preferred.
