Restoration Technician

Role overview

This is a hands-on restoration role where you will help people recover after property damage and contribute to work that genuinely matters every day. The business is committed to restoring homes and commercial properties so that, in their words, it feels “like it never even happened.”

What you'll do

• Act quickly when emergency restoration calls come in, including incidents involving water and fire damage.
• Carry out restoration work such as water removal, fire-damage cleanup, positioning specialty drying or restoration equipment, and demolition where needed.
• Prepare, stock, load, and look after company vehicles so that tools, equipment, and materials are ready for each job.
• Share job-site findings, potential safety issues, and any equipment or tool needs clearly with supervisors.
• Communicate with clients in a professional and reassuring way, including explaining the restoration process and responding to concerns.
• Complete cleanup and restoration tasks, including extracting water, drying affected areas, and tidying the site after work is finished.

Requirements and conditions

• A valid driver’s licence is required.
• You must be open to occasional on-call work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prior experience in restoration, construction, or a similar field is preferred.
• An IICRC certification would be an advantage.

Physical demands

• You should be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly and, with assistance, up to 100 pounds at times.
• The work may involve climbing ladders, working at height, and entering confined areas such as crawl spaces and attics.
• You need to be able to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry items.
• You must be comfortable working with and around cleaning chemicals.
