Role Overview
VSC Fire & Security is hiring a Recruiting Coordinator for its Richmond, Virginia location. This role supports hiring operations, candidate experience, onboarding, and recruiting administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate interviews by managing schedules across several calendars and multiple hiring managers
- Review resumes and applications as part of the screening process
- Act as the main contact for candidates, responding to questions, sharing updates, and helping ensure a positive experience
- Represent the company professionally on calls and at recruiting events
- Support hiring managers with requisition posting, pay range discussions, and candidate disposition
- Handle onboarding tasks for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and I-9 completion
- Respond to employee questions and concerns while guiding HR policy and procedure matters
- Help maintain a respectful and positive workplace environment
- Ensure recruiting and HR activities follow applicable federal and state employment laws
- Collect recruiting data, create reports, and review trends to support management decisions
- Contribute to process improvements and other assigned projects
Candidate Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of experience as a recruiting coordinator or in a comparable role, with a strong grasp of hiring practices
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Background in delivering strong candidate or customer service
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Effective problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced setting
