Quality Checker (Apparel/Garments)

Role overview

FUAARK is looking for a Quality Checker to oversee apparel quality in a manufacturing setting in Ludhiana, Punjab. The role focuses on ensuring that garments meet required standards at different stages of production and before dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Review garments during production and after completion to confirm they meet the company’s quality expectations.
• Evaluate stitching, measurements, fabric quality, printing, embroidery, labeling, and final finishing.
• Spot and record issues such as stains, loose threads, holes, faulty stitching, shade differences, and incorrect sizing.
• Decide whether finished pieces should be accepted or rejected based on defined quality criteria.
• Prepare and update daily inspection records and other quality documentation.
• Work closely with the production, merchandising, and warehouse teams to close quality gaps and resolve defects.
• Verify that goods are packed according to internal standards.
• Recommend process improvements that help reduce defects and raise overall production quality.
• Perform spot checks on both incoming materials and outgoing finished products.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience handling quality checks in the garment or apparel sector.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric types, measurements, and quality benchmarks.
• Sharp eye for detail and good observational ability.
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for reporting purposes.
• Ability to work on own initiative and deliver within deadlines.
• Experience with activewear or sportswear will be considered an advantage.

Compensation

The offered salary is INR 25,000 to INR 30,000 per month.
