Quality Assurance Engineer

Role overview

L&T Technology Services is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for its Chennai location. This is a full-time onsite position for candidates with 2 to 8 years of experience, with preference for those who can join immediately.

Technical qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Science, or an equivalent background is expected.
• Practical knowledge of IP-based networking and Layer 2 / Layer 2+ access protocols such as Ethernet, VLAN, QoS, multicast, DHCP, PPPoE, 802.1x, and RADIUS is required.
• Exposure to products and technologies including GPON, XGSPON, wireless access, and converged networking environments is needed.
• Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is important.
• Strong command-line Linux skills and the ability to troubleshoot systems are essential.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, release automation, and automation frameworks such as Jenkins, Selenium, and Robot Framework is expected.
• Working knowledge of NetConf, YANG models, and REST APIs is needed.
• Experience using Linux, Docker, and virtualized deployment environments is required.
• Automation and administration skills in shell scripting and Python are necessary.
• Understanding of XML, XSLT, and data migration concepts is desired.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and Acceptance Test-Driven Development, along with automated test tools, is expected.
• Certification such as CKAD or an equivalent Kubernetes-related credential is an advantage.
• Experience in Wi-Fi testing, feature validation, performance testing, and interoperability testing is part of the role.
• Testing spans platform, forwarding, residential gateway, Wi-Fi, mesh, and application areas.
