Role overview
This is a permanent, full-time project management position based onsite in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The role is centered on driving delivery of a major technical construction package for a pharmaceutical client, overseeing the work from early planning and design coordination through programme management, subcontractor oversight, quality, safety, commercial control, and final handover.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the project schedule, including sequencing, logistics planning, and short-term lookahead programmes.
- Manage the flow of design information, RFIs, technical queries, and coordination between multiple disciplines.
- Run coordination sessions, subcontractor meetings, and technical discussions when needed.
- Direct site activities and package interfaces to protect programme targets, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Partner with commercial colleagues on procurement, budget tracking, forecasting, and value optimisation.
- Prepare status updates, risk registers, KPI reports, and ongoing communication for stakeholders.
- Guide and support site managers, engineers, supervisors, and package delivery teams.
Experience and background
The position calls for a professional with 5 to 10+ years of experience in project management, senior engineering, or package coordination within a main contracting environment. Candidates should have delivered medium to large construction projects, ideally ranging from EUR 10 million to EUR 150 million or more.
Technical and sector requirements
A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred, although substantial equivalent experience will also be considered. The role requires solid technical understanding, commercial judgement, programme control capability, procurement knowledge, and familiarity with contract administration. Prior exposure to life sciences, pharmaceutical, or high-spec industrial projects is strongly relevant.
Additional project requirements
Experience with internal architectural finishes, M&E interfaces, clean construction practices, permit management, and live-site working constraints is expected.
