Onboarding Specialist

Role Overview

This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an Onboarding Specialist to support new hires through their first 90 days. The position is centered on improving early employee integration, spotting concerns quickly, and acting as a communication bridge between employees and plant leadership to help strengthen retention and the overall onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold professionalism, ethical conduct, and strict confidentiality at all times.
• Meet regularly with newly hired employees during their first 90 days on the job.
• Collect input on onboarding, training, day-to-day workplace experience, and how well employees are settling in.
• Assess whether employees understand orientation and onboarding materials through conversations and follow-up activities.
• Create and manage tracking tools to record feedback, concerns, questions, and requests for support.
• Work with department leaders and support teams to resolve employee issues and action items promptly.
• Watch for patterns in employee engagement, onboarding success, and retention outcomes.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• Prior experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Training, or a closely related area.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or production settings is preferred.
