Role Overview
This is an on-site, full-time Odoo Developer role based in Bhopal at E-8, Arera Colony Extension. The position is centered on CRM implementation and customization for an Edtech client, with a focus on shaping Odoo into a practical system for student acquisition, lead handling, counselor activity management, and day-to-day business operations.
Key Work Areas
- Work with the client to map Edtech processes such as lead generation, admissions workflows, counselor tracking, fee-related processes, and the student journey.
- Set up and roll out Odoo CRM as the main module, while also using related modules like Sales, Invoicing, Email Marketing, and HR wherever required.
- Create tailor-made modules, views, automated actions, and reports that match the client’s education-focused workflows.
- Connect Odoo with external tools commonly used in Edtech, including website enquiry forms, WhatsApp/SMS services, and LMS platforms using REST APIs.
- Train users and prepare documentation for counselors, admissions teams, and operations staff.
- Support the system after launch, troubleshoot issues, and improve the solution based on feedback from users.
- Coordinate with internal teammates and client-side stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
Required Profile
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Odoo development and implementation, with hands-on CRM work.
- Strong command of Python along with practical experience in Odoo ORM, XML views, QWeb, and workflow automation.
- Good understanding of core CRM concepts such as pipelines, lead scoring, activity scheduling, and reporting.
- Exposure to REST API-based integrations and third-party connectors.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Edtech or service-sector Odoo implementations will be considered an added advantage.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical client teams.
- Comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail.
