This position is fully remote and is based in the United States or Canada. You will report to the Director of Business Development.
What you will do
- Lead, train, hire, onboard, and mentor outbound Business Development Representatives in your region.
- Support team success by coaching BDRs through recurring one-on-one sessions and actionable feedback.
- Help plan and execute hiring and onboarding activities for new BDR team members.
- Partner with Events and Digital teams on field events, targeted advertising, and nurture programs.
- Collaborate with Sales Development Leadership and Sales Development Operations to strengthen opportunity management and qualification processes.
- Work closely with Sales leadership, including Regional Sales VPs, Directors, and Area Sales Managers, to identify and develop key accounts.
- Partner with Content, Marketing Program Managers, and Product Marketing to shape outbound messaging for the accounts assigned to your team.
What you need
- Background in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product.
- Prior people management experience is mandatory; experience generating new logos is an advantage.
- Experience leading teams that work with commercial accounts.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, with Salesforce preferred.
- Exposure to sales operations and/or marketing automation tools is preferred.
- Working understanding of B2B software, open source software, and developer-focused products is preferred.
- Strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn more about GitLab.
- Readiness to learn GitLab and Git.
- Ability to work in line with GitLab’s values.
Compensation and benefits
The listed base pay range for residents of the United States is USD 96,320 to USD 135,800 per year. This amount does not include bonuses, equity, or benefits. Sales positions may also qualify for incentive pay of up to 100% of base salary.
