Management Accountant

Role Overview

Fairgreen Limited is seeking a Management Accountant to support sound financial decision-making through accurate reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and financial control. This position is based in Dzorwulu, Greater Accra Region, Ghana, and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Key Responsibilities

• Create and sustain standard costing frameworks for relevant departments, while regularly reviewing and explaining cost variances.
• Monitor and evaluate expenses across all cost centres.
• Prepare yearly budgets and continuously updated forecasts that reflect business plans.
• Assist in compiling monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Examine budget, forecast, and report data to guide decisions and improve business outcomes.
• Help shape financial strategies that strengthen operational performance.
• Introduce and maintain measures that control and reduce costs.
• Gather, assess, and present both financial and non-financial information to support management decisions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts as needed.
• Ensure reporting and financial practices comply with IFRS and Ghanaian regulations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and meet audit expectations.
• Work closely with teams in technical, sales, procurement, and logistics functions.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• A master’s degree is considered an advantage.
• CIMA qualification is strongly desired.
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in management accounting, with solid exposure to cost accounting and inventory management.
• Strong capability in financial analysis and modelling.
• Hands-on experience with ERP software, particularly Sage 300, and advanced Excel skills.
• Good understanding of budgeting and budget control.
• Careful attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations.
• Comfort working across departments in a structured, collaborative setting.
