LV Distribution Line Worker

Role overview

This is a strong opportunity for a licensed LV Distribution Line Worker who is based in, or open to relocating to, the Townsville area. The role sits within Ventia’s expanding national Energy and Renewables division and supports work that contributes to Australia’s energy future.

What’s on offer

• Hourly pay of $70.27, plus superannuation and penalty rates
• Extra allowances may apply under the enterprise agreement
• Rostered day off arrangement
• Standard work pattern of a 9-day fortnight
• 10:4 roster for projects requiring work away from home

Key duties

• Carry out electrical linework for Energy Queensland contracts and other Energy Solutions clients
• Perform installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, and final handover of power infrastructure
• Handle physical and manual labour tasks, including the use of tools, small plant, and equipment
• Use assigned tools, plant, and equipment safely and effectively, and keep them in good working order
• Support construction crews on multi-team jobs to help deliver safe and efficient outcomes
• Take on other reasonable tasks as directed

What you need

• Current Queensland energy trade credentials as a licensed Linesman, including Certificate III in ESI Distribution
• Willingness and ability to work away from home when required
• Capacity to work reasonable overtime based on business needs
• HR truck licence
• Working at Heights certification
