About Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences
Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences is a prominent private educational institution in Saudi Arabia. General Conditions
- The applicant must hold the required academic qualification for the role from a Saudi university or from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education, along with proof of credential equivalency from the ministry if applicable.
- For lecturer and faculty-level positions, the academic specialization must be directly related to the job field.
- A bachelor’s degree with at least a “Good” grade is required.
- All university qualifications must have been completed through full-time, regular study.
- Applicants must pass the written/academic assessment and the personal interview.
Position Details
This is a full-time administrative role based at Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences in Tabuk. The working schedule is 48 hours per week, and the contract term is one year.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Library and Information Science.
Experience Requirement
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same field is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the use of the Saudi Digital Library databases within the college.
- Recommend updates to the manuals and policies that guide library administration and usage.
- Work with academic departments to identify the college’s needs for books, references, journals, newsletters, and other learning resources.
- Manage library systems such as cataloguing and related processes, and keep them regularly updated.
- Archive audio, visual, printed, and multimedia learning materials and organize their storage in the library.
- Prepare a monthly bulletin covering key references and new additions, then circulate it across the college.
- Ensure that the library has the required equipment and safeguards to protect its collections.
- Organize internal and external borrowing activities.
- Coordinate with academic departments to identify new references, knowledge sources, and learning materials that can be added to the library.
- Conduct training workshops for faculty, equivalent staff, and students on library resources and how to use them effectively.
- Gather feedback from students, faculty, and equivalent staff about the quality of library services.
- Suggest library activities that can be digitized and moved to electronic formats.
