Laboratory Technician

Role Overview

The Laboratory Technician supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and dependable product and service support to customers. The role focuses on improving how services are delivered, carrying out quality checks on company products, preparing laboratory documentation before field service activities, and offering advanced technical assistance for additive selection and fluid design. The position also involves ongoing coordination with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository.

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure all job outputs are accurate and completed within the required timeline.
• Build the technical capability needed to handle advanced additive selection and fluid design work.
• Keep laboratory instruments clean, functional, and safe, and ensure waste is disposed of regularly.
• Create technical presentations for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Conduct routine audits so the laboratory continues to meet required standards.
• Support the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical input whenever needed.
• Carry out risk assessments before each task or assignment to spot and reduce safety or quality issues.
• Take part in Service Quality Meetings with customers and contribute to performance improvement action plans.
• Support HSE and quality-related programs and initiatives.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow all HSE rules and procedures.
• Keep the required safety training current.

Experience Notes

Prior laboratory experience is not strictly required, though experience in a drilling fluid laboratory is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience is mentioned.
