About the role
HALO Bagels is growing its Berlin presence by serving artisanal sourdough bagels and creating memorable food-and-hospitality experiences. The team describes these experiences as “FULL CIRCLE MOMENTS” and is looking for a new colleague to join a diverse, international kitchen team on the way to building a well-loved local brand.
What you will do
- Prepare all bagel toppings from raw, high-quality ingredients using the company’s own recipes, including meat preparation.
- Support the day-to-day production of sourdough bagel bread, including shaping by hand, proofing, boiling/bathing, and baking.
- Keep the back-of-house area clean and carry out routine cleaning duties while following hygiene standards and legal requirements.
- Track food stock using FIFO/FEFO practices, manage storage checks, and help plan weekly orders.
What the team is looking for
- Ability to move smoothly between baked-goods production and food prep, with strong organization.
- A collaborative attitude, good communication, and comfort working closely with people.
- Genuine enthusiasm for food and hospitality, and a strong connection to the HALO brand and product quality.
- Willingness to work flexible weekday and weekend shifts, ideally with prior experience in busy, fast-paced settings.
- Solid understanding of baked goods and food preparation, plus a desire to perform well every day; kitchen or baking experience is helpful but not required.
- English fluency; German is an advantage.
