Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role overview

This part-time remote Junior Data Analyst position is designed for someone at the start of their analytics career. The role supports informed business decisions by helping gather, prepare, and review data from different sources, then turning it into easy-to-read summaries and reports.

What you will do

• Gather data from multiple sources and keep it organized for analysis.
• Clean, structure, and maintain datasets so they are accurate and usable.
• Perform basic analysis to identify patterns, trends, and performance signals.
• Prepare clear reports, summaries, and simple dashboards for internal use.
• Create visual representations of data to make insights easier to understand.
• Work with teammates to review findings and explain what the data shows.
• Document the steps, methods, and assumptions used in your analysis.
• Support ongoing improvements by following established workflows and contributing to better data processes.

Required background

• Strong analytical ability and a solid foundation in data analysis.
• Basic understanding of statistics for simple quantitative interpretation.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts for structuring datasets and supporting basic models.
• Good communication skills for sharing insights and working with different teams.
• Comfort using spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
• Introductory exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Academic coursework or a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or a related area, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Basic SQL knowledge or familiarity with a data-focused programming language such as Python or R is a plus.
