Role Overview

This is a full-time Junior Data Analyst opportunity supporting a Department of Homeland Security client. The position centers on qualitative and quantitative research, advanced data analysis, and delivering insights that help shape risk assessments tied to transportation assets. The role also includes coordination and documentation responsibilities, such as preparing agendas, schedules, presentation materials, and meeting notes. The work is mission-critical and offers room for growth in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Carry out both qualitative and quantitative research to assist risk assessment and decision-making.
• Examine transportation asset-related data, processes, and information to spot risks and identify ways to reduce them.
• Build and maintain supporting documentation, including agendas, schedules, slide decks, and meeting minutes.
• Take part in workgroup meetings and other organizational events that support client objectives.
• Help coordinate schedules, deliverables, and milestone tracking across projects.
• Use Microsoft Excel and related analytical methods to perform detailed data analysis.
• Review processes and information to strengthen risk management efforts.
• Work closely with teammates and stakeholders to deliver accurate research outputs on time.
• Contribute ideas for process improvement based on findings and analysis.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, research, or related analytical work.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred: an active Secret security clearance.
• Must live within a HUBZone area.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and similar tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and potentially extend hours to meet deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
