Role overview
The organization is looking for a meticulous and numbers-driven Junior Data Analyst who can help leaders make better decisions by collecting, preparing, examining, and presenting data. Key responsibilities
- Gather data from multiple sources, then organize, clean, and validate it for analysis.
- Examine datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can guide action.
- Build reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for management and other stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators and other business metrics on an ongoing basis.
- Help maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools used by the team.
- Carry out data quality checks to keep information consistent and reliable.
- Support forecasting, planning, and performance analysis work.
- Work with different departments to understand reporting needs and business goals.
- Share conclusions and recommendations through presentations and written reports.
- Record analytical steps, methods, and reporting processes for future reference.
Required skills and competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative thinking with solid problem-solving ability.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and analytical functions.
- Basic familiarity with SQL and core database concepts.
- Ability to interpret data and explain findings clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization and time-management habits.
- Comfort with both independent work and team collaboration.
- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and analytical methods.
Preferred background
A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience gained through internships, academic projects, research work, reporting roles, or other data-focused assignments will be an advantage. Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or comparable analytical tools is also helpful. Familiarity with dashboard development, reporting automation, business intelligence platforms, statistical analysis, forecasting methods, and data visualization best practices would be a plus.
