Role overview

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst in Arlington, VA to support a high-profile Homeland Security Investigations worksite enforcement mission focused on safeguarding the integrity of the U.S. workforce. In this role, you will work directly with HSI special agents to review I-9 employment eligibility forms, payroll and business records, and government data sources that contribute to national and international enforcement cases.

This is a fast-moving, detail-oriented position where your analysis will help shape Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other authorized enforcement outcomes. The role offers early exposure to federal law enforcement investigations, guidance from experienced investigators, and room to grow into more advanced compliance or investigative work.

Key duties

The position centers on document review, investigative research, and case support across active worksite enforcement matters.

• Review employer I-9 forms, payroll files, corporate records, and related hiring documents to identify compliance issues and possible violations of federal immigration employment laws while partnering closely with investigators.
• Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and leads that support open investigations.
• Prepare accurate case write-ups, findings, and analytical reports that are clear, supportable, and suitable for enforcement use.
• Assist with coordination across domestic and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
• Keep case materials organized and current while following DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements and flagging potential worksite and employment eligibility violations.
• Develop briefing documents and analytical support materials for site inspections, enforcement activity, and senior leadership meetings.

Required background

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline, along with one to two years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.

Strong analytical ability, the capacity to work through large volumes of records, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The role also requires high-volume accurate data entry from paper records into electronic systems and the ability to run database queries in support of detailed reporting. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain ICE suitability, and U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred experience

Experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies is highly valued. Familiarity with Form I-9 compliance, E-Verify, HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations is considered an advantage, as is prior work with sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled information. Experience using government databases or investigative case management tools would also be beneficial.
