Role overview
This role focuses on building strategic intelligence that supports target development activities across Queensland Police Service’s serious and organised crime capability. The position sits within a multi-agency, multidisciplinary environment and contributes to identifying high-value targeting opportunities as well as supporting statewide oversight of major operations.

Key accountabilities
- Contribute intelligence advice and services that help Commands and Regions deliver the Queensland Police Service strategic plan, particularly when assessing problem locations, matters, and incidents.
- Offer expert analytical guidance to officers working on targeting approaches and operational strategies.
- Prepare detailed intelligence assessments on crime and broader community safety issues using established intelligence methods.
- Build and sustain productive working relationships within the Queensland Police Service and with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Support better ways of working by improving processes and promoting continuous improvement.
- Where needed, provide guidance and supervision to other team members.
Role requirements
- The appointee may be placed at any business location where intelligence support is needed.
- Applicants will need to complete a psychometric assessment before appointment.
- The work may involve exposure to graphic and sensitive written, visual, and audio material.
- A security clearance up to and including Negative Vetting Level 1 must be obtainable and maintainable.
- Shift work may be required, including afternoons, weekends, and nights.
- Successful candidates may be asked to complete Queensland Police Service intelligence training in line with current policy.
