Role Overview
We are hiring an HR Administrator focused on employee experience to support a people-first workplace in Sydney. This opportunity is well suited to a recent HR graduate or an early-stage HR professional who wants practical exposure across the employee journey and wants to help shape a positive, engaging environment for staff.
About the Business
The organisation is an integrated property and construction group working across residential, mixed-use, defence, and education projects. Its approach centres on improved delivery, stronger ownership, quicker decisions, and ongoing progress in how construction work is carried out. The company believes successful projects begin with great people, and it aims to create an excellent experience for employees.

This role provides wide-ranging exposure to HR and is designed for someone who wants to learn and develop over time. You will partner with the HR team on daily operations and contribute to a positive employee journey from induction through ongoing engagement. As you grow in the role, you will build experience in HR administration, lifecycle processes, payroll support, recruitment coordination, and workplace culture, creating a strong base for a long-term HR career.
Key Duties
- Present a warm, professional experience for employees, candidates, and visitors.
- Support new starter onboarding and gradually take on full ownership of the process.
- Keep employee information accurate and up to date in the HR system.
- Arrange interviews with hiring managers and business leaders.
- Assist with employee lifecycle tasks such as probation and development review meetings.
- Help with monthly payroll by coordinating timesheets, leave data, and payroll inputs.
- Handle standard payroll questions and escalate more complex matters when needed.
- Organise seating arrangements and office moves in collaboration with IT and business leaders.
- Manage the employee uniform portal and merchandise requests.
- Maintain meeting rooms, shared areas, and office supply levels.
- Plan and deliver employee engagement activities such as town halls, birthday celebrations, and social events, including chairing the Social Committee.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a recent Human Resources graduate or someone with prior experience in HR administration or People & Culture support. You should be motivated by great employee experiences, highly organised, proactive, and attentive to detail. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important, along with the ability to manage several priorities in a busy environment. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems, and you should be eager to continue growing your career in Human Resources.
Why Join
The role offers a collaborative and supportive team environment, broad exposure to many HR functions, and ongoing learning and development opportunities. You will also have the chance to contribute meaningfully to employee experience and workplace culture, while receiving a competitive salary and benefits package.
