Housekeeper

Role overview

As a Housekeeper with The Uniques Tanzania, you will keep the premises clean, orderly, and well maintained. Your day-to-day work will include dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and caring for bathrooms to ensure all areas remain hygienic and presentable.

Laundry and linen care

You will handle the full laundry process, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and neatly storing clothing, bed linen, and towels.

Organization and housekeeping support

The role also covers arranging cupboards, supplies, and household materials in an organized way, checking stock regularly, and helping prepare guest rooms when needed. You will be expected to maintain order throughout the property and follow hygiene and safety standards at all times.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Serengeti. The role requires close coordination with the wider team and may occasionally involve helping onboard new staff members.

Qualifications and expectations

• Experience with household and laundry tasks, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and careful use of cleaning products.
• Strong organizational ability with a practical approach to planning cleaning routines and managing supplies ahead of time.
• Clear, respectful communication, a service-minded attitude, discretion, and trustworthiness when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to support the training of new team members and contribute positively to a cooperative working environment.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or domestic work is an advantage, along with reliability, punctuality, physical stamina, and basic English skills.
