Overview
YYC Home Care Services is hiring a Home Support Worker in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada. This role is based at the client’s location and must be performed in person; remote work is not available.
Language
English is required for this position.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is needed.
Experience
Applicants should have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Role Summary
The Home Support Worker provides day-to-day personal assistance, companionship, and home support to clients while helping maintain their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside care and help with personal routines.
- Support clients with bathing and other hygiene-related needs.
- Help clients stay active by assisting with regular exercise such as walking.
- Assist with feeding when required.
- Wash clothing and household linens.
- Carry out light cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Provide personal care assistance.
- Shop for groceries and household necessities.
- Plan, prepare, and serve wholesome meals.
- Cook meals as needed.
Credentials
Valid CPR and First Aid certificates are required.
