About the Role
Access Healthcare is hiring for an HCC Coder / QA track, with multiple experience bands open for different profiles. This opportunity is for candidates who can work from Chennai or Hyderabad and are able to join within a suitable notice period. The role is focused on healthcare coding, documentation review, and quality checks tied to risk adjustment and HCC mapping.
Experience Requirements
For this opening, the non-certified HCC Coder profile requires at least 0.9 months of experience. Certified HCC Coder candidates should have 1.5+ years of experience, while HCC QA applicants should bring 2+ years of experience.
Work Location
Positions are available in Chennai and Hyderabad, India. This is an on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Examine patient records to understand diagnoses and treatments documented in the chart.
- Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes accurately for the cases reviewed.
- Translate diagnoses into Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) mappings.
- Maintain consistency and correctness in coding assignments.
- Review documentation and coded records to check for accuracy and completeness.
- Share coding-related feedback with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Support awareness of clinical documentation standards and compliance among providers and clinic teams.
Requirements
- Experience in medical coding is required.
- Strong focus on detail and coding accuracy is essential.
- Applicants should be committed to compliance and correct code assignment.
- Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and HEDIS Category II codes is expected.
- Any one of the following certifications is mandatory: CRC, CPC, or CCS.
- Any graduate can apply.
