Role overview
This remote freelance assignment supports a destination marketing organization with the creation of polished marketing and stakeholder-facing materials. The work centers on laying out and producing visually strong documents that present information clearly for a range of audiences.
The initial scope includes two multi-page documents: a briefing paper and a destination strategy report, each expected to be about 10 to 20 pages long. Source content will be provided in Word or HTML format, and the final output must follow existing brand standards. There is also scope for future work such as brochures, campaign assets, and stakeholder reports within the tourism and hospitality space.
The first deliverable is due by mid-July 2026.
Key deliverables
- Create and format a briefing document and a destination strategy report in Adobe InDesign using supplied Word or HTML content.
- Apply the organization’s brand guidelines so the final layouts remain consistent and on-brand.
- Combine text, icons, and data in a way that improves readability and visual impact.
- Prepare final artwork for both digital sharing and print production, depending on need.
- Work remotely with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and complete final revisions.
- Support possible follow-on projects such as brochures, campaign collateral, and stakeholder reports.
Required experience and capabilities
- Hands-on experience using Adobe InDesign for multi-page document design and production.
- A portfolio that shows strong work in reports, infographics, and presentation-style documents.
- Confidence working within brand systems and producing clean, professional layouts.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
- Background in tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, scheduling, organization, and written/verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently while meeting demanding deadlines.
- Remote work readiness and the ability to complete the first project by mid-July 2026.
