Company overview
Marex Group plc is a broad-based global financial services business that delivers liquidity, market access, and infrastructure support to clients across energy, commodities, and financial markets. Its capabilities span clearing, agency and execution, market making, and hedging and investment solutions. The firm has a strong position in key metals, energy, and agricultural markets, connects to 60 exchanges, and serves a wide range of clients including producers, consumers, traders, banks, hedge funds, and asset managers. Marex operates from more than 40 offices around the world and employs over 2,400 people across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.
Graduate programme
This full-time graduate programme is designed to help new analysts build confidence, capability, and industry understanding. It begins with a bootcamp called “Backpack to Briefcase,” which introduces the financial services sector, Marex’s mission, and its strategic priorities. After the bootcamp, you join your team and continue learning through ongoing training.
The programme also includes a variety of sessions intended to accelerate your understanding of the company and the wider industry. These cover behavioural skills, cognitive skills, technical knowledge, and business awareness. You will also have access to informal insight events and a lunch-and-learn series led by senior Marex leaders, giving you opportunities to ask questions and hear directly from experienced professionals.
From the start, you will be part of a graduate network and attend training and events with other participants, helping you build relationships and grow professionally while contributing to a purpose-driven business.
Team and department
Marex Technology supports the business with efficient, scalable, and secure digital solutions worldwide. The Design team is responsible for producing consistent, high-quality creative work across the group, including the brand, divisional and corporate websites, and sales and marketing materials. The product design function covers the full design process, from user experience work with stakeholders and end users through to user interface design and design system management.
Role summary
As a graduate trainee in visual design, you will support visual design work across the Marex group globally. Your role will help maintain a consistent look and feel across investor, client, and staff communications, including brochures, event materials, and sales and brand collateral.
You will also help with the creation and rollout of materials for new corporate branding across the business. A strong graphic design skillset is needed to work from templates and brand guidance for brochures, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and other digital assets.
Key responsibilities
- Create business-facing documents and sales collateral, including brochures, event materials, and social media assets.
- Contribute to the development, upkeep, and expansion of the brand design system and associated guidelines.
- Find, source, or produce stock imagery and video content as needed.
Standard role responsibilities
As with all roles at Marex, you will be expected to comply with regulatory and internal requirements, including FCA obligations, the operational risk framework, company policies, and the FCA Code of Conduct. You will need to report policy breaches appropriately, escalate risk events without delay, support risk management activities when required, and complete any additional duties assigned from time to time.
