Role overview
As a General Merchandise Associate with Walmart Canada, you’ll support store operations and build hands-on retail experience. The role focuses on delivering strong customer service, keeping merchandise areas organized and fully stocked, and helping customers find what they need.
Key duties
- Welcome shoppers in a courteous and approachable way, help them locate items or services, support purchase decisions, and direct concerns to the right person when needed.
- Take ownership of assigned sales floor sections and keep them properly zoned.
- Relocate featured products back to their assigned modular location.
- Recover merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other parts of the store and return it to the sales floor.
- Support front-end coverage when needed.
- Coordinate with fellow associates to help maintain floor coverage.
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and checking that displays and fixtures are secure.
- Stock merchandise and picks, downstock where required, apply product protection when needed, and complete modular setups, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
Pay information
The minimum starting wage for this position is $16.15 per hour.
Minimum qualifications
