Role Overview
AIA Group is a major financial services organization with a strong presence in Singapore and internationally. It has held the top position in Singapore for group employee benefits for 19 consecutive years and also leads the market in personal policies.
Compensation and Earnings
The role offers a base salary of S$3,000 to S$7,000 per month, depending on experience and last drawn pay, along with uncapped commissions and bonuses. The commission structure is described as one of the strongest in the industry and can continue paying out until retirement.
Training and Support
New hires will be placed with one of the company’s top agencies and will receive structured training and ongoing guidance from the beginning. The company also provides access to multiple cold-market platforms to help generate leads and build sales performance, so there is no need to rely on friends and family for prospects unless desired. Initial case-closing support will also be given to help build momentum early in the career.
Career Growth
As the role develops, there are opportunities to specialize in investments, corporate insurance and group employee benefits, or general insurance sales. High performers may progress into senior consultant positions or move into leadership by building a team or agency.
Work Arrangement and Lifestyle
The position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to decide which days and times you work. Work can be done either from home or in the office. Successful candidates may also enjoy yearly incentive trips to Europe and the Americas, fully sponsored by AIA.
Exams and Licensing
Applicants who clear the interview process must complete four examinations before starting work: RES5, M9, M9A, and HI. The exam fees will be covered by the company.
Key Duties
- Assess the financial objectives of individual and corporate clients, then recommend suitable investment, insurance, or savings solutions.
- Deliver strong client service and provide advisory support throughout the engagement.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
Eligibility and Requirements
Only Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents may apply. Foreign applicants are not eligible because there is no quota available.
A minimum qualification of a diploma from a locally recognized polytechnic, or an equivalent overseas qualification, is required.
No previous work experience is necessary. Candidates who already hold RES5, M9, M9A, and HI certifications will have an added advantage.
