Role Overview
This is a full-time remote position focused on coordinating freight movement for clients across North America. Key Responsibilities
- Find suitable carriers and negotiate pricing to secure competitive freight rates.
- Plan and arrange shipments while balancing client service standards and cost requirements.
- Maintain ongoing communication with shippers and carriers and deliver timely support.
- Resolve shipment disruptions and operational issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to manage load movement, schedules, and route changes.
- Use transportation management systems to monitor loads and keep stakeholders informed.
- Follow company procedures and industry regulations to support compliant operations.
- Manage client accounts, strengthen relationships, and look for ways to improve efficiency and support growth.
Requirements
- Background in freight brokerage, including handling truckload and/or LTL freight.
- Strong customer service skills with clear communication and a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience coordinating loads, tracking shipments, and supporting dispatch activities.
- Ability to manage client relationships and identify account growth opportunities.
- Previous work in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations is highly desirable.
- Comfort using transportation management systems and standard office software.
- Good negotiation skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to perform well in a fast-moving remote setting.
- High school diploma is required; further study in business, logistics, or a related area is beneficial.
