Role overview

Join the Mount Maunganui branch of Team Global Express as a Freight Operator and become part of a busy, high-performing logistics team. This position offers a varied day and the opportunity to contribute to freight movements that support communities and commerce across New Zealand.

Team Global Express NZ provides freight forwarding, end-to-end transport, and logistics services to customers throughout the country, from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Working hours

This is a Monday to Friday role with a shift running from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

What the role involves

In this practical, physical position, you will help keep freight moving safely, accurately, and on schedule. The work involves loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting freight, with teamwork playing a central role in day-to-day success.

• Handle freight safely and securely during loading and unloading for road and rail units.
• Support branch efficiency by scanning freight accurately through the On-time system.
• Use equipment in a safe, competent, and efficient way.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Communicate clearly and work well within a team environment.

Skills and experience needed

You should bring a customer-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience driving on New Zealand roads is also expected.

• A current full New Zealand Class 1 licence is essential.
• A forklift licence with an OSH certificate is essential.
• A Dangerous Goods endorsement would be an advantage.
• A strong focus on customer service.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience driving in New Zealand conditions.
