Role Summary
As the Executive Pastry Chef at Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre Riyadh Minhal, you will be responsible for leading the pastry program and producing refined desserts, pastries, and baked items that strengthen the guest dining experience. The role calls for creativity, solid technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality and presentation.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop inventive dessert offerings that align with current trends, guest preferences, and the hotel’s standards.
- Prepare a diverse selection of pastries, desserts, and breads with consistent quality and attractive presentation.
- Review ingredients and final products to ensure taste, appearance, and consistency meet premium standards.
- Guide, coach, and supervise junior pastry team members to build their skills and performance.
- Support stock control, purchasing, and food-cost management to help maintain profitability.
- Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace health regulations in all kitchen activities.
- Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef and broader kitchen team for dessert service and event execution.
- Create tailored desserts for weddings, banquets, and other special occasions to deliver memorable guest experiences.
- Keep up to date with modern pastry techniques, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve the pastry offering.
Qualifications
A culinary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in pastry arts is required. The role also calls for at least 5 years of experience in a luxury restaurant or hotel pastry kitchen, with a strong history of producing high-quality desserts.
