Role overview
An aviation engineering team in Dublin is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Director of Engineering. The role involves providing discreet, high-quality administrative assistance and working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, including chief officers, directors, and department heads. This opportunity sits within a fast-growing airline group that is expanding its fleet and customer base over the coming decade.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Engineering across a range of tasks.
- Manage a busy calendar, arrange internal and external meetings, and keep schedules aligned.
- Organise complex travel plans, including flights, accommodation reservations, and detailed itineraries.
- Prepare reports to a strong professional standard.
- Work independently when required and also collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior administrative experience in a corporate setting.
- A commitment to a long-term Executive Assistant role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Interest in aviation and/or engineering is preferred.
- The ability to stay organised while handling multiple priorities at once.
- High professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Comfort working in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
- Strong interpersonal ability to interact with people at all levels and across different cultural backgrounds.
Additional information
This position is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland and is a full-time, onsite role. The business area is Office and the division is Engineering Office. The role requires someone who can handle a challenging workload, create structure in a busy environment, and show initiative without close supervision.
