About the Role
Krispy Kreme, founded in 1937, is known for making fresh doughnuts with its original recipe and for the signature Hot Light that signals when doughnuts are being prepared in-store. The company is looking for a Demand Planner in Charlotte, NC to support its demand planning function across shops and fresh delivery operations.
In this position, you will help shape the demand planning process by building processes, tools, reports, and analytical support that strengthen supply chain strategy. Your work will help produce item-location demand plans that feed downstream supply chain and financial planning decisions. The core objective is to improve sales, customer service, and forecast accuracy while lowering returns, waste, and inventory across raw and finished goods.
What You Will Do
- Create and maintain forecasts at several aggregation levels across a rolling 12 to 18 month planning horizon.
- Review historical shipment patterns, consumption data, customer inventory information, and demand assumptions to refine forecast outputs.
- Work across functions to investigate forecast differences and update forecasting models based on revised sales and marketing assumptions.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to make sure demand plans reflect current business assumptions.
- Build, update, and share short- and long-term demand plans with customers and shop operations, while acting as a communication bridge for supply and service limitations.
- Monitor forecasting metrics such as bias, accuracy, waste, and cost, then use those results to support ongoing improvement.
- Support demand planning efforts tied to growth, innovation, cost reduction, operational efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field such as Supply Chain, Information Systems, Economics, or Finance, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. At least 3 years of experience in demand, supply, merchandise, retail, or sales planning is expected, ideally in a CPG or food-related environment.
Strong experience with demand planning platforms such as Oracle Demand Management Cloud, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, or comparable tools is important. You should also be highly skilled in Excel and data analysis, with strong problem-solving ability and a talent for spotting trends, opportunities, and risks. Experience building Power BI dashboards and visual reports is preferred, along with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
You should be comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization, managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment, and working collaboratively with others. Attention to detail, ownership mindset, compliance awareness, adaptability, and a positive contribution to an inclusive team culture are also important.
